Cap Cana fue premiado como el mejor en la categoría Hotel, Inversión y Desarrollo en la segunda versión del premio Luis Augusto Caminero.

El auditorio del Banco Central fue escenario de la segunda edición del premio Luis Augusto Caminero. En este escenario, Yenny Polanco Lovera, presidenta de Adompretur valoró el apoyo a la asociación brindado por el Gobierno y la empresa pública, que en este momento de importantes desafíos unieron sus esfuerzos en un objetivo común”.

El ministro de Turismo, David Collado, fue galardonado en el evento con el “Premio al Mérito Supremo en el Turismo Dominicano” por parte de la entidad organizadora, la Asociación Dominicana de Prensa Turística (Adompretur).

El Instituto Nacional de Formación Técnico Profesional (Infotep) también fue reconocido en la categoría “Educación y Turismo”; chef Inés Páez (Chef Tita) en “Gastronomía y Turismo”; y Los 27 charcos de Damajagua en “Turismo Comunitario”.

En “Turismo, Arte y Cultura” se reconoció al Centro León; el Dr. José Natalio Redondo obtuvo la distinción de “Turismo de Salud”; el municipio de Jarabacoa ganó en la categoría “Turismo Interno”. Elizabeth Tovar ganó en la categoría “Turismo de Reuniones”.

De igual forma, la Fundación Popular y el Consorcio Energético Punta Cana Macao (CEPM) recibieron dos estatuillas por su labor de “Responsabilidad Social Empresarial”. En “Hoteles, Inversión y Desarrollo” ganó Cap Cana; la “Reina del Merengue”, Milly Quezada ganó en la categoría “Marca República Dominicana” y el Presidente Luis Abinader, fue el “Turista Persona del Año”.

Durante la actividad se realizó un homenaje póstumo a Rita Cabrer, señora que realizó grandes aportes al periodismo turístico a través de la revista “Bohío”, de la guía “La Cotica”; también fue presidente de Adompretur. El reconocimiento lo recibió Reynaldo Caminero, nieto de Doña Rita y Luis Augusto, quien hoy continúa el legado de estos dos grandes seres humanos, ocupando la dirección ejecutiva de Ediciones Cabrer. Cap Cana was awarded the best in The Hotel, Investment, and Development Category at the second version of the Luis Augusto Caminero award.

The Central Bank auditorium was the setting for the second edition of the Luis Augusto Caminero award. In “Tourism, Art and Culture” the León Center was recognized; Dr. José Natalio Redondo obtained the distinction of “Health Tourism”; the municipality of Jarabacoa won in the “Internal Tourism” category. Elizabeth Tovar won in the “Meeting Tourism” category.

Similarly, the Popular Foundation and the Punta Cana Macao Energy Consortium (CEPM) received two statuettes for their “Corporate Social Responsibility” work. In “Hotels, Investment and Development” won Cap Cana; the “Queen of Merengue”, Milly Quezada won in the “Dominican Republic Brand” category and President Luis Abinader, was the “Tourist Person of the Year”.

During the activity, a posthumous tribute was held to Rita Cabrer, a lady who made great contributions to tourism journalism through the “Bohío” magazine, from the “La Cotica” guide; he was also president of Adompretur. The recognition was received by Reynaldo Caminero, grandson of Doña Rita and Luis Augusto, who today continues the legacy of these two great human beings, occupying the executive management of Cabrer editions.
